Form Builder

Overview

Ultimate Member comes with a robust and flexible drag-and-drop form builder used to create the registration, login, and profile forms. With the form builder, you can easily customize the look and layout of the forms and add unlimited fields.

Form elements

The form builder contains several elements you can use to build your forms. These include master rows, sub rows, columns, field groups, fields, separators, dividers, spacing, and text blocks.

Master rows

Master rows are the outermost containers of the form, and it is in the master rows that you can add sub rows. The form builder, by default, will contain one master row with one sub row inside of it. It is possible to add, delete and rearrange the order of master rows in the form.

  • Adding a master row– To add a new master row to a form, you need to go to the bottom of the form builder and click the plus icon (see below for what to look for). There is no limit to the number of master rows you can add to the form.

  • Deleting a master row– To delete a master row to a form, you need to go to the blue buttons at the top right of the master row and look for the button with a trash can. This is the button that will delete the master row and all the content contained within the row. Please note it is not possible to delete the first master row on the form (The delete button will not show for the first master row).

  • Editing a master row– To edit a master row on the form, you need to go to the blue buttons at the top right of the master row and click the button with a pencil. Clicking the button will open the edit master row modal, where you can customize the styling and output of the row. This modal makes it very easy to apply custom CSS to this row, and you can also give the row a heading (This is useful if you want to separate your profile into distinct sections).
