How to optimize CSS and JS files to speed up page loading

Ultimate Member plugin and its extensions require various scripts and stylesheets for its features. A number of loaded CSS and JS files may make the page load a little slower.

You can use the free extension Ultimate Member - Optimization to remove Ultimate Member's CSS and JS files from the pages where they are not used and combine them on pages where they are used to reduce the page loading time.

Once the extension is installed go to wp-admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > General > Optimize and turn on these settings:

  • Dequeue unused CSS files - Remove Ultimate Member's CSS files from pages where there are no Ultimate Member elements.
  • Dequeue unused JS files - Remove Ultimate Member's JS files from pages where there are no Ultimate Member elements.
  • Combine CSS files - Combine Ultimate Member's CSS files on pages where they are used.
  • Combine JS files - Combine Ultimate Member's JS files on pages where they are used.
