Remove the word ’user' or ’profile' from the profile URL

A profile URL typically refers to a web address or link that directs users to a specific profile page on a website or platform. The purpose of having a profile URL is to provide a unique and easily accessible link to an individual's or entity's profile. This link often leads to a page containing information about the user, such as their bio, activity, posts, or any other relevant details, depending on your site. It offers easy sharing, quick access to information, and customization, serving as a convenient way for users to share and promote their online presence.

Ultimate Member allows you to customize or select the profile permalink base that will appear in the URL when viewing a user's profile on your site. By default, the profile permalink will be set to show the "Username”. The image below shows examples of the profile URL with the profile permalink base.

However, if you require to remove the word ' user' from the profile URL, it is not possible because WordPress core has many reserved words that can cause conflict issues with the redirection between WordPress core and Ultimate Member core.
