Spotify URL Field Type
Overview
This article provides information about the added field type introduced in version 2.6.3 which is the Spotify URL.
This field applies to similar Spotify URL patterns:
- Song Link (e.g.https://open.spotify.com/track/5YciOakY5dB5dULkiLdCaf?si=26860dc0a5b54654)
- Album Link (e.g.https://open.spotify.com/album/4mMan8IGNJUhZ6du15ki5T?si=rOYtN4mjSQ-utBOlFOFaZw)
- Artist Link (e.g. https://open.spotify.com/artist/2DaxqgrOhkeH0fpeiQq2f4?si=JFwzsIi6S06Q2qKNlqvqNA)
The user will be able to view and edit the Spotify field in User's profile > Edit Profile once you have added the Spotify URL field and updated the profile form in wp-admin>Ultimate Member> Forms>Edit or Add Profile Form. This article will teach you how to add a field to a form.
Note: The Spotify Field will only appear in the user's profile once they have added a link and updated their profile.
Example 1 - Song Link
The user will be able to see the song's iframe and play a preview of the song on their profile page after adding a song link in the Spotify URL field and updating their profile.
Example 2 - Album Link
The user will be able to see the album's iframe and play a preview of the songs listed in the album on their profile page after adding an album link in the Spotify URL field and updating their profile.
Example 3 - Artist Link
The user will see the artist's iframe, which has a list of the artist's tracks. They may listen to a preview of the artist's songs on their profile page after adding the artist's link in the Spotify URL field and updating their profile.
